Alana DaCosta is a creative rebel. Alana uses many mediums to share her creative energy and continues to expand beyond the limitations of any  box or label as a mother, vocalist, musician, poet, creative community builder, yogi and educator.

Alana’s eclectic music blends neo-soul with jazz, reggae, hip hop and a drop of funk. A graduate of the Dillard School of Performing Arts, she excelled in voice and instrumental training. As an international performing artist and  previous member of the Howard University Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Alana has performed throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. She has shared the stage with icons such as Freddie Jackson, Beres Hammond, Roberta Flack, Babyface, Angelique Kidjo, Erykah Badu, Common, Cee-lo, Anthony Hamilton and more.

Alana also has a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and understands the healing power of the creative arts.With the drive and passion felt in her music and community healing arts initiatives, there is no doubt, that Alana DaCosta is destined to create change, social responsibility and collective inspiration through her creative mission.
